Who we are

MK3DHUB is a Manchester-based sole-trader business providing 3D printing and CAD design. MK3DHUB is the data controller for the personal information described here.

Information we collect

When you use the quote form or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, project description, files you choose to send, and any other details you provide during the discussion. We also receive the information needed to deliver your quote or order.

When the quote form is submitted, Google reCAPTCHA may process technical information about your browser and interaction to assess whether the submission is automated or abusive.

How we use your information

• To understand your enquiry, prepare a quote and communicate with you before a contract is made. This is necessary to take steps you ask us to take.
• To design, print, deliver and support an agreed project, and keep useful production settings for a future repeat order. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep accounting and transaction records required by law.
• To protect the form and business from spam, abuse and security issues. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service usable and secure.

We do not use enquiry details for marketing. We do not make decisions about whether to accept a project solely by automated means.

Who receives your information

The quote form uses Google Apps Script and Google Drive to receive and store submissions. Enquiry and order messages are sent to our Google Workspace mailbox at info@mk3dhub.com; an internal confirmation email is also sent to that mailbox. Google reCAPTCHA is used to help protect the form.

Google processes information to provide these services under its applicable terms. Google may process or store information in countries outside the UK; where required, appropriate safeguards apply. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to a project, we normally delete its files and enquiry details after three months from the last meaningful contact.

For completed projects, we keep relevant design files, print settings and project details for as long as we need them to support repeat orders and maintain useful production records. You can ask us to delete project files. We will do so where we can, while keeping any records we are legally required to retain. Financial and tax records are kept for the period required by law.

Cookies and reCAPTCHA

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. When you submit the quote form, Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs a risk analysis and may set its _GRECAPTCHA cookie for that purpose. Google’s use of data is also covered by its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do not currently use a cookie banner. We will review this if the site adds other storage or tracking technologies, and provide consent controls if the law requires them.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to some uses, and receive certain information in a portable format. To make a request, email info@mk3dhub.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or data practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
