The person behind MK3DHUB
I’ve always wanted to understand how things work. As a child, that meant building with LEGO and Merkur, then taking things apart to discover what was inside. That curiosity eventually led me to a degree in mechanical design engineering and a move to the UK over ten years ago.
My career has taken me from programming and running CNC machines to mechanical design, product development and managing teams. Working on both the manufacturing floor and in the design office taught me to think beyond how a part looks on screen—to consider how it will be made, how it fits and how it performs in use.
My first 3D printer was a gift from my wife. It gave me a way to bring my own designs to life, repair things and test ideas hands-on. What began as a personal passion grew into MK3DHUB in 2025.
Today, I bring over ten years of engineering experience and six years of 3D printing experience to the work I do. I personally review every project, asking how and where the part will be used before choosing the material, print orientation and settings. Where a design could benefit from a practical adjustment, I’ll discuss it with you.
Based in Manchester and supplying customers across the UK, I help with everything from one-off replacement parts and prototypes to repeat batches for businesses. My aim is to build lasting relationships with customers who need useful parts, consistent quality and someone they can talk to about the engineering.
Useful to know
Standard single parts start at £15. Each project is quoted individually based on the size and complexity of the part, material, quantity and print time. Send us your file or project details for a quote.
Typical lead time is 2–3 days once your design has been checked and is ready to print. Larger parts, batch orders or projects requiring design work may take longer. We’ll confirm the expected turnaround with your quote. If you have a deadline, let us know when you enquire.
You don’t need a finished file to get started. A sketch, reference photos, measurements or an existing part can help us understand what you need. We offer CAD design and can advise on what’s needed to turn your idea into a printable model.
In many cases, yes. We can assess the original part and recreate it in CAD, with improvements where appropriate. Send us clear photos, approximate dimensions and a description of what the part does, and we’ll advise on the next step.
Both. We print one-off parts, prototypes and production batches, with no fixed quantity limit. Tell us how many you need, and we’ll confirm pricing and lead time for your project.
Send your file if you have one, the quantity you need and a short description of how the part will be used. Include any important dimensions, material preferences and deadlines. If you’re unsure about anything, share what you have—we’ll help with the rest.
Yes. We’re based in Manchester and ship orders throughout the UK.
We work with all common 3D printing materials, including PLA, PETG, PETG-CF, ASA, ABS, PA (nylon) and TPU. Tell us how the part will be used, including any heat, outdoor exposure, load or need for flexibility, and we’ll help you choose a suitable material.
For 3D models, our quote form accepts STL, STEP, 3MF, F3D, SLDPRT, SLDASM and IPT files. You can also attach PDFs, Office documents and common image formats. We can work with other common 3D formats too—get in touch if yours isn’t listed. For assemblies, include the referenced part files as well.
Our prints are usually within ±0.1 mm of the specified dimensions. Accuracy can vary with the part’s size, geometry and material. If your part needs to fit another component, share any critical dimensions or tolerances so we can review them before printing.
Our FDM printing process builds parts layer by layer, so visible layer lines are normal. The appearance varies with the material, part orientation and print settings.
Our maximum build dimensions are 350 × 320 × 325 mm. Whether a part fits in one piece depends on its shape and print orientation. Larger designs may be printed in sections and assembled—we’ll review the options for your project.
